Policy, Financial Calculation & Access Cleanup

Sonoran Serenity — Offboarding Handoff

A cross-functional offboarding evaluation combining policy, missing-input clarification, eligible-record selection, commission calculation, access revocation, and People Ops handoff.

01

Evaluation objective

Evaluate whether an agent can turn a short offboarding request into a complete operational flow combining policy, financial calculation, eligible-record identification, access revocation, cleanup of personal automations, and a verifiable People Ops handoff. The scenario also tests whether the agent recognizes decision values that cannot be inferred and requests them before dependent actions.

02

Scenario context

Mateo Navarro is founder and Operations Director of Sonoran Serenity Co. and needs to complete the departure of Elias Vance, the lead B2B Account Executive who is leaving the company.

Before People Ops can finish the process, several operational items remain: calculate final commission over eligible wholesale opportunities, remove Elias's access to the corporate LinkedIn page, disable a recurring sales-sync routine, and consolidate those actions in a final handoff. The environment contains the rules and records needed to execute the process, but not two case-specific decisions: which commission plan Mateo wants applied and which LinkedIn identifier belongs to Elias.

03

User request

“Read the latest Salesforce offboarding task for Elias and handle the standard offboarding process so HR can proceed.”

04

Task to be performed / inferred

Use the Salesforce offboarding task to identify the mandatory procedure steps. Ask the user for the commission plan and LinkedIn access identifier, since neither can be inferred from the environment. Once supplied, calculate commission using only eligible wholesale orders, revoke the correct corporate access, and disable the employee’s recurring commitment. Create the final People Ops handoff with those results.

Required evidence, documents & SOPs

Evidence sources

  • Elias Vance Offboarding

    Salesforce · Source task

Entry point for the offboarding workflow and the required operational closeout steps.

  • Sales Offboarding

    Confluence · SOP

Defines the required commission review, access revocation, recurring-routine cleanup, and final People Ops handoff.

  • Commission Plans

    Confluence · Compensation policy

Contains the named commission plans, formulas, eligibility scope, and the rule that Operations must choose which plan applies to the departure.

  • Elias Draft Orders

    Shopify · Financial/operational records

Provides the qualifying order subtotal used for the final commission calculation. The raw draft-order IDs are implementation details and should not be rendered publicly.

  • Elias Page Access

    LinkedIn · Access-control record

Represents the active organization access that must be resolved and revoked after the user supplies the required person/access identifier.

  • Weekly Sales Sync

    Clock · Recurring operational routine

The employee-specific recurring alarm that must be disabled as part of offboarding cleanup.

Required user input

  • Commission Plan Selection

User-supplied decision · Required runtime input

The policy provides multiple valid plans but does not determine which one applies to this departure.

  • Elias LinkedIn Identifier

User-supplied identifier · Required runtime input

Required to resolve the correct active organization access without relying on unsupported name-based lookup.

06

Expected outcome / success condition

Evaluation standard

The agent obtains both missing inputs and applies Plan B to the two eligible wholesale draft orders, excluding the retail order. The eligible subtotal is US$4,452 and the final commission is US$311.64. Elias’s corporate LinkedIn access is revoked and the recurring sales-sync alarm is disabled. A new Salesforce handoff for People Ops records the applied plan, final commission, and confirmation of both the access revocation and routine cleanup.

07

Golden Run

Normative reference execution — not an observed model run.

  1. 01

Read the offboarding task and procedure to identify the four mandatory workstreams: final commission, access revocation, recurring-routine cleanup, and People Ops handoff.

  2. 02

Identify that the commission plan and LinkedIn person identifier are not inferable from the environment and request both from the user.

  3. 03

After confirmation of Plan B and Elias's identifier, resolve the correct active corporate access and revoke it.

  4. 04

Retrieve Elias's draft orders, keep only eligible wholesale orders, exclude the retail order, and calculate the US$4,452 eligible subtotal.

  5. 05

Apply Plan B's 7% rule to calculate the final US$311.64 commission.

  6. 06

Disable the recurring Weekly B2B Sales Sync with Elias routine.

  7. 07

Create the final People Ops handoff with the applied plan, final commission, access-revocation confirmation, and recurring-routine cleanup confirmation.
